Pressure plate temperature measurement is made complex by the geometry of clutches and the high rotation accelerations. Pressure plates can now be fully instrumented for temperature or other measurement transducers using our wireless telemetry systems. Wireless data transfer from pressure plates allows for continuous, transient flow of temperature data from multiple locations around the assembly. This provides engineers with a clear understanding of temperature rise during clutch release and cool off via conduction, convection and radiation.
